MSA 4x4 manufacture our canvas specially for our applications, it is the most heavy duty construction available. Being Polyester/Cotton canvas it has the best of everything: polyester for strength, colourfast, fade resistance, shrink resistance and ruggedness with a blend of cotton for breathability and a natural feel. Poly/Cotton canvas in its natural state is a tough, long lasting, breathable and waterproof fabric that will outlast any fabric many times over. It does however, tend to be a little harder to clean than most machine washable, light duty fabrics. To assist with the cleaning ability of out specially manufactured canvas, we impregnate all our canvas with DuPont Teflon High Performance Repel during the dying process. This creates an extra barrier in the canvas to help prevent dirt and grime from penetrating into the base cloth, therefore most grime will just sit on top.

To clean MSA 4x4 canvas we recommend to brush away any loose dirt or sand with a light brush, while the fabric is dry. If required, wash the canvas with a cold to luke-warm water and a sponge, then chamois dry and allow to air dry. Do not apply soaps, detergents, bleaches, cleaning fluids or insecticides to the canvas as these will remove the waterproofing. Do not machine wash (never machine wash any good quality canvas as it will destroy its waterproofing ability). Do not allow petrol, diesel, oil, kerosene or other similar fluids to come into contact with the canvas. Do not scrub the canvas as excessive scrubbing will remove some of the waterproofing. Remove deposits of organic matter such as soil, grass or bird droppings from the canvas as soon as convenient. Follow these simple care instructions and you will enjoy a very long and happy service life from your MSA 4x4 canvas product.
